Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring all functions are performed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. The Manager will be responsible for managing and organizing warehouse operations, managing and developing staff, and ensuring the efficient flow of products and materials through the warehouse.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Manage warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their job duties.


2. Maintain warehouse operations by organizing the layout and ensuring all equipment is in good working order.


3. Ensure safe working conditions are maintained by ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and all relevant regulatory requirements.


4. Create and implement policies and procedures for warehouse operations and ensure they are followed by all staff members.


5. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.


6. Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure efficient inventory control and ensure inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts and regular inventory audits.


7. Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing, sales, and logistics to ensure the efficient flow of goods and materials through the warehouse.


8. Manage the budget for the warehouse, ensuring all expenses are within budget and justified.


9. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.


10. Continuously look for ways to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, and customer service.




1. A bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.


2. At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.


3. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.


4. Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and financial performance.


5. Strong computer skills, including experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory management software.


6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.


7. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures, and experience implementing safety policies and procedures.


8. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions.


9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.


10. Forklift certification and other relevant certifications/licenses preferred.


Physical Requirements:


1. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.


2. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.


3. Must be able to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.


4. Must be able to work in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to dust, noise, and extreme temperatures.


5. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
