Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team. The Warehouse Worker will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing and organizing stock and inventory, and maintaining the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have strong organizational and multitasking skills.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment

 

• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code

 

• Pick orders from warehouse inventory and prepare orders for shipment or delivery

 

• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment to move materials and stock to designated areas

 

• Scan and process items as needed using warehouse management software

 

• Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any faults or wear and tear to management

 

• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits

 

• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization

 

• Other duties as assigned by management

 

Requirements:

 

• High school diploma or equivalent

 

• Proven working experience as a warehouse worker

 

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs) and stand for extended periods of time

 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

• Basic math and computer skills

 

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and tools

 

• Attention to detail and accuracy

 

• Strong organizational and time management skills

 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

• Forklift certification is preferred but not required

 

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
